Happy Holidays! On New Year's Day, the Above Category crew would like to help you kick off 2023 in the greatest way possible: on two wheels. The ride will be led by the towering figure of gravel professional Brennan Wertz, who will guide the group through some of the most glorious dirt outside the shop's front door.
We'll meet at Equator Coffee in Sausalito at 8 am for complimentary beverages and pastries before rolling out at 8:30 am. The ride will go up Railroad Grade to Pantoll, drop down to Muir Beach via Coastal View Trail, Climb Middle Green Gulch Trail, and then return to Sausalito via the gravel roads of the Marin Headlands. Finally, we'll finish the ride at Equator in Sausalito for more coffee and snacks.
The ride will be brisk but friendly, with a couple of regroups. Please come with a functioning gravel or mountain bike, adequate water and snacks for the ~50km route, and a repair kit to ensure no one gets stranded.
